We all know London, where the kings and queens of England were crowned and where the United Kingdom crowns kings and queens today still; most might know Aachen as the place where the kings of the Eastern Franks were crowned, and Rome, where the Emperors and Empresses of Rome and later the Holy Roman Empire were crowned. Thun: A Gem Amongst Cities in Switzerland

Thun is a small town near Bern situated on Lake Thun. It has been inhabited continuously since Celtic and through Roman times. Having been of minor importance all the time, it has remained a small town which makes it perfect to explore on foot. 

Bern: The Centre of Switzerland

Bern is usually and falsely referred to as the capital of Switzerland. Correctly it is the seat of the Federal Government, and as such it is called Federal City. Town history goes back a long way, and part of that history allows you to go shopping in town on a rainy day without getting wet.
